Patented and Exclusive Ingredient Technology
Osmosis has a remarkable collection of patented and exclusive ingredients that cannot be found elsewhere. This is what separates our results from other brands. These patented ingredient
systems include our liposomal delivery system, zinc finger technology, and growth factors.
Liposomal Delivery System
Our ingredients are coated with a liposome called phosphatidylcholine that has been shown to increase product penetration by 600%. Phosphatidylcholine is a unique phospholipid because of its structure:
choline head and essential fatty acid chains which are similar to our cell membranes. When used to coat ingredients, it naturally enhances penetration into the cell as well as protects it during
delivery.
Intercellular lipids like phosphatidylcholine are essential for corneocyte cohesion, and therefore the quality of the skin barrier, which prevents the evaporation of water, resulting in smoother skin,
increased moisture level, and skin regeneration. Studies also show high levels of linoleic acid to improve acne.
Zinc Finger Technology
Zinc fingers are used by all cells in the repair and formation of DNA, RNA, and proteins. They are composed of an atom of zinc that holds two loops of protein together to form a "finger." Our Zinc Finger Technology
utilizes the key components of zinc fingers that encourage their formation and activation in the skin. This results in increased DNA repair and wound healing. Osmosis uses zinc fingers to aid in the repair of
damaged DNA by "turning on" the repair gene so the damage can be "cut" out. Key ingredients in Osmosis’ DNA repair serums help facilitate this process.
Repairing damaged DNA impacts several aspects of skin health including rebuilding collagen, providing sun protection, pigment control and normalization, scar prevention, healing "broken" capillaries,
and overall healing the skin.
Growth Factors
Growth factors are produced by the body to control growth, division, and maturation of cells. They are what regulate the division and the production of cells. When growth factors are utilized in products,
they have two major benefits: protect the skin and stimulate growth of new cells. The growth factors that are secreted from adult human stem cells benefit all skin conditions.
We choose to use growth factors because we can obtain hundreds of them from stem cells, and when applied topically to the skin, we can encourage multiple cell type growth to
repair and replace damaged cells.
Exosomes
Exosomes are made by the cells to package and protect the growth factors and cytokines for more efficient delivery. The exosome is an intelligent "micro-sphere," which has molecules (peptides and polysaccharides)
that have special movement, navigational, and targeting properties. It can easily move through tissues and deliver contents to neighboring cells.
Beginning Source:
- Adult stem cells are derived from fat cells.
- Stem cells are transferred to a culture containing specfic growth media.
- Stem cells begin dividing. During this process their growth factors are secreted.
- 600+ growth factors and cytokines are secreted from the division of stem cells.
- We collect the growth factors by separateing out the highest percent and leave the stem cells behind to continue division and creation of growth factors.
